JOIN extension table / Hammel Furniture / 2020
In close cooperation with Hammel Furniture we have designed JOIN table, a compact extension table designed for everyday living and grand gatherings.
The table is 160 cm in its base configuration, but with the option to add up to six extension leaves, all of which can be stored within the table itself.
It was essential to us that the table feels equally refined and cohesive in both its compact and extended form and we have paid attention to meet the needs of a dynamic home. We have been focusing on creating a light and balanced expression, despite the additional supporting legs required for extension tables. Particular attention was paid to the edges and ends, how the double legs meet in a refined, harmonious way, and how the table retains an elegant silhouette without appearing heavy.
